Busy transit authorities, bus lines, scheduled couriers and other organizations whose business depends on the timely adherence to set schedules can benefit greatly from the EME. Using GPS-based vehicle location in combination with its powerful schedule adherence functionality, clients are able to use the EME to determine how well schedules are being followed. This can be accomplished live-time, with regular position updates on the map in live-time, or via map-based playback and positional reports for exception reporting situations.

Furthermore, this information can be automatically communicated to drivers in real time via the Horizon EME’s mobile applications, advising them how far ahead or behind schedule they are, and enabling them to take corrective action.
